Ethical Guidelines

While we are champions of free speech, we know that words also have the power to do great harm. We do not allow the use of MyActionCenter® for campaigns or organizations that promote hatred, harassment, or cyberbullying of any person or class of people based on their identity, or characteristics.

MyActionCenter must not be used by campaigns or organizations that promote discrimination of or oppression towards people, based on their identity, or characteristics, nor by those campaigns or organisations that advocate for infringement of universal human rights.

MyActionCenter is not to be used by campaigns and organizations that oppose democracy and fair governance, nor to be used as a platform for the support of totalitarian or repressive regimes, including the current governments of: Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Sudan, Syria, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Eritrea and North Korea. MyActionCenter is not to be used by campaigns or organization that in any way support the occupation of Palestinian Territories in opposition to international law.

MyActionCenter is not to be used by campaigns or organizations committing or promoting environmental destruction, nor to be used for the promotion of practices that directly or indirectly support human trafficking, marketing of harmful substances, and weapons trafficking or sales.

MyActionCenter is not to be used for causing harm to children in any way.

Enforcement by MyActionCenter: If we are put on notice that your campaign or content violates the law or the rights of others (for example, if it is established that it is defamatory or violates privacy, intellectual property or publicity rights or others, or is funding an illegal activity), if we discover that your campaign or content violates our Ethical Guidelines, or if we believe your campaign or content is inappropriate or objectionable, we may terminate the availability of use of theme files controlling MyActionCenter. In the spirit of collaboration, we aim to notify you and try to work with you to fix the issue before we take any of these actions.

MyActionCenter has discretion in enforcing these terms. We may terminate or suspend your permission to use our theme files at any time, and with or without notice, for any material or repeated violation of these terms, your failure to pay any fees when due, upon the request of law enforcement or government agencies, for extended periods of inactivity, for unexpected technical issues or problems, or for engagement by you in fraudulent or illegal activities. Upon any such termination, we may no longer allow your organization access to our theme files. Your content may still be available on the NationBuilder platform even if you no longer have access to such files. You agree that we will have no liability to you or any third party for termination of your account, removal of your content or blocking of your access to our platforms and services.
